Sport SA, The Advertiser and Channel Seven came together to present The Ultimate Celebration of South Australian Sport at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on the 21st November, 2010. The Gala Dinner showcased every aspect of sport including the Sport SA Awards. Badminton SA was represented by Jeff Green in the Official of the Year section. Jeff was nominated by the Board of Badminton SA and made it to the final three. Jeff had the opportunity to go along and sit with over 600 guests including the cream of South Australia’s finest sporting identities, which was an opportunity of a lifetime for him. Every table had someone that he either knew of or idolized during their sporting career, and it made him feel very humble to be in such exalted company.

Jeff was announced the winner at the dinner. It is great to read on the Sport SA web site, ‘Official of the Year: Jeffrey Green, Badminton SA’. Well done and congratulations to Jeff.

Badminton Australia President Geraldine Brown, presented Jeff Green with the Badminton Australian Technical Official of the Year Award at the conclusion of the Senior Nationals held in Adelaide recently. Jeff was nominated for this award by Badminton SA for his services to SA and Australia as an umpire. The Board and members of Badminton SA extend their congratulations to Jeff.
